This week at HCAD, I promise there will be stories. That’s our job: giving you stories.
Last week at HCAD, there were some other stories. That’s our job: giving you stories.
Here are some of the stories you have access to which were published last week at HCAD:
All you need to know before you subscribe to HCAD is that we will always be here, waiting. It’s a good place to call home.
Frog: Frog4 was actually the fifth in his lineage. His father was not given a number next to his name. Frog: Frog1 was Frog: Frog4’s eldest sibling.
Frog: Frog was the first of his kind, a beauty of a specimen. His intelligence knew no bounds. The genetically enhanced frogs that came after him were equally smart, but had personalities that clashed with what the researchers wanted. After they, the test tube tadpoles, had hatched in the lab it was obvious that their creator would not be able to grow the world conquering amphibian army that she desired. Before reaching four weeks old, the new spawn of a thousand frogs stopped her schemes. Continue reading “[Clipart] Frog Frog4” »
She was afraid to come out of the locker. She was afraid that somebody would see. She was afraid to come out of the locker. She was afraid…
She was afraid. Continue reading “[Clipart] Itsy Bitsy Polka” »
Pig Piggie, the sow on McGregor’s farm, was happy in her life. Sure, she had had some ups and downs. Once, she had seen a little bit too much through the slats in the fence between her and the slaughteryard. For almost a week she squealed and screamed every time a human came near. Since then, she always stayed on the other side of the farmyard she was penned into. She never had to think about it if she didn’t want to even if it was always on the back of her mind. This week at HCAD is a great time to be here. It’s always a great time to visit HCAD. Tell your family. It’s like a theme park. Unlike a theme park, HCAD is free to visit. Subscribing to HCAD is also free. Tell your friends.
Last week at HCAD we met some exciting characters. For example:
These characters will forever be a part of us. We are grateful for their presence in our lives and in our hearts.
In the next few days we will bring you even more characters. We hope you like them.
You are born, and you keep on winning.
You keep on winning and you get first place in everything you do. You’re the literal luckiest girl alive; training has nothing to do with it.
You keep on winning and you weren’t even going for gold. You were aiming for a participation award. Nothing that calls this much attention to you. Continue reading “[Clipart] Gold Number 1” »
You’ve earned it.
Ten points and a double gold award. You did everything you could at the relay races. You lapped everyone else in the game where you carry an egg on a spoon in your mouth across the field. In the three legged race you picked your partner up and carried her weight. You showed no fear when running and jumping onto a chair to pop a water balloon with your butt. Nothing could stop you. This is definitely gonna be a week. Here at HCAD, a week is six days. It’s gonna be the six days from March twenty eighth to April second in the year two thousand sixteen, in fact.
Yesterday I got more text messages from family members before noon on a Sunday than I remember being possible. It’s like it was a holiday or something. I hope the people you care about are sending you love as well, and that if you don’t care about anyone that someone still cares about you. Like the student loan office. Or the guy who sells you whatever it is you can’t legally buy yourself (Kinder Eggs).
Since we care about you, we’re gonna give some stuff to you almost every day this week. Here it what it will probably look like in list form:
Thankfully, last week is over. Some highlights were that time I related a little bit too hard to a one dimensional character, the day nothing made sense but Donald Trump didn’t rule the world, and the time a man’s family fisherman heritage helped him survive.
If you like the things we provide for your viewing pleasure, please comment and share. Student loans don’t pay themselves. We can’t do it without your help. It’s teamwork!
He’d died. Just like that. Fallen. Keeled over. Kicked the bucket. And now there was an opening on the council. Just like that, everything had changed. Continue reading “[Books We Haven’t Read] The Casual Vacancy” »
Matthieu had been awake for the past seventy nine hours. Staying up for that long had been a bad idea; he had an important meeting that he needed to go to today. The board budget meeting could honestly take care of itself, but as President and CEO of his company, Matthieu sort of needed to be there instead of just sending a representative again. It was bad form to send someone in his place to fifteen meetings in a row, and Matthieu was cutting it close. Continue reading “[Clipart] Bad Idea” »
